KIIT Quality Assurance Cell organized a hands-on workshop titled “Scope in LMS (Google Classroom) during Online Teaching and Learning” on 13th July 2021 on virtual platform. Emphasizing the merits of Google Classroom, Prof. Samaresh Mishra, Director, Students Affairs, KIIT-DU demonstrated the faculty participants how to create and manage classes, assignments, assessment and grades, to add materials to the assignments, such as YouTube videos, to Google Forms survey, and other items from Google Drive, to give direct, real-time feedback, to use the class stream to post announcements and engage students in question-driven discussions. Further he explained how to protect data and set permissions for users, set up classes, add or remove students and teachers from classes.
Earlier, Prof Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, Quality Assurance extended a warm welcome to Prof Samaresh Mishra. Director, Students Affairs, Dr. S. K. Satpathy, Director, School of Public Health, Prof.(Mrs) Amarita Lenka, Principal, Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences and all participants from the three Schools. During the workshop, Prof. Damodar Jena, School of Rural Management and many faculty participants made a participatory discussion with the speaker regarding Google Classroom. Prof. (Mrs) Amarita Lenka placed a word of thanks. All faculty Coordinators of QA Cell (School level), faculty members of School of Public Health, Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences and School of Dental Science were present during the workshop and appreciated the talk.
