Ace sprinter of India Dutee Chand, who is a KIIT student, was felicitated by KIIT & KISS for being conferred with the coveted Arjuna Award. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS felicitated Dutee at a simple ceremony today at KIIT. Dr. Samanta also felicitated Dronacharya Awardee coach Shri Nagapuri Ramesh apart from Shri Chittaranjan Mohapatra, Shri Nilamadhav Deo and Shri Sibaprasad Mishra, all of whom have been Dutee’s coach at different points of time. Physiologist of international repute Dr. Sudeepta Satapathy, who is currently working at KIMS, was also felicitated on the occasion. Among others, Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro Vice-Chancellor, KIIT; Prof. Jnyanaranjan Mohanty, Registrar; Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Director (Sports) were present.
