KIIT Conducts & Farewell Function & for Trainees

of Skill Development from Vedanta Ltd.

KIIT Deemed to be University conducted a Farewell Function for trainees of Group-A, of the Skill Development Training Programme under R & R Project of Vedanta, Lanjigarh on 2nd  September, 2021. Speaking at the function, Prof. (Dr.) Sasmita Samanta, Vice Chancellor (I/C), KIIT-DU & Director, Skill Project advised the trainees to work cohesively, enhance the leadership quality and understand time management in their professional life. She highlighted various skill programs conducted in the campus.

Mr. G. G. Pal, Dy. CEO, Vedanta Ltd. told the trainees to appreciate the importance of the discipline and the remarkable role it plays in the industry. He thanked the KIIT for the effective skill programs which enabled the trainees to be more efficient, on time and disciplined. He praised the Founder, KIIT & KISS, whose vision has made KIIT a world-class institution.

Appreciating the transformation of trainees at KIIT, Dr. Niladri Parhi, Head CSR, Vedanta Ltd. pointed out the noticeable difference in the behaviour of the trainees before and after the skill program. Mr. Hemanta Bhatia, Head HR, Mr. Binod Rath, Associate Manager and other officials of Vedanta Ltd. advised the trainees to focus on becoming good human beings first and utilize the accrued knowledge in their professional lives. KIIT is best institute he has ever visited, added Mr. Bhatia.

On this occasion, trainees who successfully completed their programs received their certificates from the esteemed delegates. Two trainees narrated their experience during the six-month training and thanked the concerned trainers and officials for their continuous support and guidance.

Dr. S. C. Swain, Professor and Joint Director, Skill Project, KIIT-DU delivered the welcome address. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. P. K. Sahu, Associate Professor, School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT-DU. The program was anchored by Ms. Ruksha  Mohanty, Executive Trainee, School of Electrical Engineering.
