KIIT Celebrates Bridge Course Certificate Distribution Ceremony

On July 10, 2025, KIIT Deemed to be University distributed Certificates to 46 French-speaking international students from Guinea and Somalia on successful completion of their year-long Bridge Course in English Language and Communication Proficiency course, titled “Comprehensive English Language Program for Overseas Students” (CELPOS). The course was conducted by the Department of Language and Literature, School of Liberal Studiesin collaboration with the International Relations Office (IRO).

The program aimed to equip students with essential English language skills to support their academic and professional growth. The certification ceremony was graced by dignitaries including Ambassador Debraj Pradhan (Director General, IRO); Mr. Samuel Vivian (Director, IRO); Dr. Anita Pati (Dean, ISR), and Mr. Sameer Kumar Das (Associate Dean, Department of Language and Literature), who applauded the students’ achievements and highlighted the power of multilingualism in a globally connected world.

Ms. Upasana Sarangi, the lead instructor, expressed immense pride in her students’ progress, while Dr. Nisha Tiwari, French Assistant Professor, offered a heartfelt vote of thanks for the collaborative spirit throughout the course.

Three students—Mohamed Traore, Issa Toure, and Fatoumata Oulare—shared their personal journeys, reflecting on the challenges and triumphs of learning a new language in a foreign country.
