KIIT and KISS Fraternity evoke Pradyumna Bal on his 86th Birth Anniversary

The 86th Birth Anniversary of Late Pradyumna Bal, Former President of KIIT and KISS Society was celebrated on 8th November, 2018 at KISS premises. Earlier in the morning, the statute of Late Pradyumna Bal was garlanded at KIMS Campus. Then a  Prayer-cum-Mass meeting was held at KISS Campus.

Addressing the gathering, Smt. Saswati Bal, President of KIIT & KISS society said, “Not only merely commemorating, but reflecting the ideologies of late Bal through our words and action will be the real homage to the great soul.”

Hailing late Bal as the “Iron Man of Odisha”, The Secretary of KIIT and KISS, Sri R. N. Dash  said “if we will be inspired by his philosophy, then it would be the befitting tribute to the departed soul.”

The Vice Chancellor  of KISS deemed to be University, Dr. Harekrishna Satapathy hailed Late Bal as a great statesman, philanthropist and visionary. “Though his mortal body has been disappeared from the earth, but the foot-marks he left before us will be the perennial source of inspiration for the gen-next children.  We have assembled here to vow to follow his ideology”, he remarked.

Introducing the guests the CEO of KISS Dr. Prasanta Kumar Routray said that until and unless the deprived sections of the society are not developed, the wholesome growth of the society can’t be thought off. While education is the key to development, the person who has made best use of education for the sake of development is none other than our beloved Samanta Sir.

Mrs. Bratati Bal, daughter of Late Pradyumna Bal discussed on the issue “Women’s Empowerment” and said men also should take adequate responsibility along with women to realize women’s empowerment in true sense. “Both men and women should remain alert, cautious  to see the women as empowered”, she added.

At the end, Registrar of KISS deemed to be University, Mr. Julius Lakra, IAS proposed Vote of Thanks.
