K-1000, the official Research and Development (R&D) organization of KIIT, dedicated to nurturing 1000 exceptional students in advanced research, has launched its new flagship series — “Kampus Konversations” — with an insightful inaugural session focused on the GATE and JAM examinations. The event, held on 24th September 2025, drew an enthusiastic audience of 120 students from diverse disciplines, eager to explore the academic and career opportunities offered by these prestigious national-level examinations.
The session was graced by Professor Rajakumar Ananthakrishnan, a distinguished faculty member from the, and the Vice Chairman – Career Development Centre, IIT Kharagpur. He Department of Chemistry explained the structure and purpose of these exams in a clear and engaging manner, offering practical tips for effective preparation and highlighting common mistakes to avoid. The session also explored the wide range of career opportunities that these exams open up, including admission to M.Tech and Ph.D. programs at premier institutions like IITs and IISc., employment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and research roles at leading organizations.
Prof. Ananthakrishnan was warmly felicitated by Dr. Krishna Chakravarty, Dean, KSAC; Dr. Hiranmaya Nanda, Associate Dean, KSA;, Dr. Amlana Panda, Assistant Registrar (R&D); and Dr. Mainak Biswas, Associate Professor, School of Computer Engineering.
Adding to the occasion, certificates were presented to the rank holders of Ignithon, an earlier event organized by K-1000. The session concluded with a vote of thanks.
