Grand Finale of KIIT Project Expo – 2019 (an initiative for Showcasing Research Talents of B. Tech. students (In-house)) was held on 5th April, 2019 at Auditorium Hall, Campus – 6. Only best 5 projects from different Schools of Engineering participated followed by display of additional projects (79 Nos.) in Kunjaban which were selected by respective schools during School Level Project Expo projects (2nd to 3rd April,2019).
Dr. Prahlada Ramarao (Padma Shri Awardee-2015, Former Chief Controller, DRDO); Dr. G.K. Nayak (Director, IIIT, Bhubaneswar); Dr. Radhakanta Padhi(Professor, IISc Bangalore); Prof. Aurobinda Routray (Professor, IIT Kharagpur) and Er. Ajaya Kumar Samal (Secy. to GM East Coast Railway were invited as experts for the Project Expo-2019.
During the function, welcome and introductory address about KIIT Project Expo-2019 was made by Prof. C.K. Panigrahi, Chairman, Project Expo-2019. Prof. Sasmita Samanta Registrar, KIIT-DU addressed the gathering about the achievements of KIIT till date and she motivated students to do real research. Prof. H. Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU motivated students to do multidisciplinary research and suggested to publish a book “B. Tech. Project Expo-2019”.
Expert Talk on “University and interfacing with Industry” was made by Dr. Prahlada Ramrao, Padma Shri Awardee (2015), Former Chief Controller and Distinguished Scientist, DRDO, Ministry of Defense. Declaration of Results followed by Felicitation to Winner Team and distribution of participation certificates to each student was also made by Dignitaries. In concluding remarks, Dr. Radhakanta Padhi (Professor, IISc Bangalore) stressed upon the continuation of B. Tech. Projects.
