‘FIRST AID’ Training Programme for Newly Recruited Volunteers Organised by YRC KIIT

Youth Red Cross KIIT Unit organized an informative First Aid Training Programme on October 25, 2025, where 500 students from YRC and K-explore  attended with Hands on-experience showing great enthusiasm and willingness to learn practical first aid techniques. The event aimed to equip YRC KIIT volunteers with essential life-saving skills and awareness about handling emergencies effectively.

The session was conducted by Sri Laxman Swain, Junior Red Cross OfficerIndian Red Cross Society, who shared valuable insights on the importance of first aid knowledge in saving lives. It was completely a  Hands-on training experience where participants learned how to perform CPR, respond to road accidents and manage cases of choking, cardiac arrest, bleeding, snake bite, burns etc. He also explained the DRABC emergency assessment methodemphasizing the importance of staying calm and acting quickly in critical situations.

The unwavering efforts of the YRC KIIT team were guided by YRC KIIT Counsellors Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Dr. Junali JasmineJena, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, and Dr. Ajit Kumar Pasayat, whose leadership inspired the volunteers to contribute wholeheartedly.
