Delegations from the Embassy of Finland and Talent Boost visited KIIT Deemed to be University on 13th May 2022 for an interactive session with the students. Dr. Mika Tirronen, Counsellor of Education and Science gave a detailed presentation on Finland as a country. He mentioned facts that make it the happiest country in the world and explained the academic and research activities of the universities there. He specially expanded on research and academic opportunities in Finland for KIIT students. Mr Santeri Ojala, Global Head, Talent Boost International Operations presented on work and business opportunities in Finland for KIIT students, working professionals and entrepreneurs.
Mr. Debpriya De and Mr. Karan Menon, India Knowledge Partners, Talent Boost were also members of the visiting delegation. On behalf of KIIT-DU Dr. J. R. Mohanty, Registrar; Mr. Debraj Pradhan, Director General, International Relations Office (IRO); Mr. Bharadwaj Mishra, Director; Dr. Anita Pati, Dean; Ms. Resham Nawaz, Deputy Director; Mr. Sidharth Ray, Administration Officer; Mr. Gautam Nayak, Administration Officer and students from various faculties were present.
Students enthusiastically participated in a question-answer session, which contributed to create confidence among the delegates to partner with KIIT for student-exchange, faculty-exchange and collaborative research activities going into the future.
Earlier, the delegates were welcomed by the IRO team of KIIT-DU and were guided for a tour to both KIIT and KISS campuses. They appreciated achievements made by the institution in a short span of 25 years and expressed amazement at the vast philanthropic activities of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS. If KIIT could get to such eminence in just 25 years, it has a very bright future to become one of the leading Universities in the world, they mentioned.
