Faculty from KIMS invited to provide BLS Training at VIMSAR, Burla

Basic Life Support(BLS) course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an Automated External Defibrillator(AED), Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.

Faculty of KIMS, Dr. Nirmal Kumar Mohakud, Associate Professor, Pediatrics, a national BLS trainer was invited to train the post graduate and junior faculty of Pediatrics, O&G, Anesthesiology, Medicine and  Pulmonary Medicine. Beside them 3 Pediatric specialists I/C CHCs and 5 interns were trained on BLS provider course. A total of 49 doctors trained on 3rd November, 2019. Other team members include Dr. Shrabanee Chakrobarty (Kolkata), Dr. Rajib Roy (Bhubaneswar) and Dr. Nihar from VIMSAR.
