The 20 days DDU-GKY Placement Orientation Program was inaugurated today at KIMS Auditorium, KIIT-DU in presence of Sri R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS; Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar KIIT-DU; Sri N.P. Das, Director General, Social Projects; Mr. Chinmay Kumar Das, Director(Administration), Office of the Founder and Dr. Mihir Ranjan Nayak, Director, Planning.
Addressing the trainees, the Secretary of KIIT & KISS, Sri R. N. Dash said that the Founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta has declared this year as the ‘year of belongingness’. That’s why the culture of KIIT should be reflected through your attitude and work. He advised, “learn the work by your heart and try to do it thoroughly”.
Gracing the occasion, Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Registrar KIIT-DU said, “in this earth everybody born with right to live equally with others. Therefore, when you get an opportunity, utilize it thoroughly. Moreover, you have to contribute properly and by means of it, make the world move ahead and that should be our prime objective”. She remarked that, for years, our Founders’ motto has been ‘Human Development’.
In his address, Dr. N.P. Das, DG, Social Projects said that the world is well endowed with scores of skilled persons but there is a dearth of facilitators. The world needs many people like Dr. Achyuta Samanta, who has trimmed down poverty though education and skill development. He advised the trainees to build themselves in such a way that they should have obeisance to KIIT and KISS which eventually will be going to be the part & parcel of their work and identity.
At the outset, Dr. Mihir Ranjan Nayak Director, Planning welcomed the guests into the inaugural ceremony and placed the essence of the program before the audience in a nutshell. Proposing the Vote of Thanks, Mr. Chinmay Kumar Das said that KIIT and KISS have given us new dimension though our work and we will imbibe all good qualities in order to propel the institution to greater heights.
In all, around 240 trainees have been selected for pursing Placement Orientation Program. This program will continue up-to 18th August, 2018.
