1st IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies and Systems (ICSETS’2019) inaugurated

KIIT School of Electrical Engineering in association with the IEEE Singapore Section, IEEE Calcutta Section and IEEE PES Chapter, Bhubaneswar organizes the 1st IEEE International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies and Systems (ICSETS’2019)  at KIIT from 26thFebruary to 1st March, 2019.

This Conference will bring together professionals and executives in the energy sector, electrical power companies, manufacturing industries, research institutes and educational bodies to share and exchange ideas and information pertaining to sustainable energy technologies.

The Conference was inaugurated at Seminar Hall-1, Campus-6 on 27th February,2019. During the  Inaugural function, Dr. Sanjeeb Kumar Panda (NUS, Singapore), Organizing Chair placed the welcome address and focused on the objectives and scope of conference.  

Dr. Sanjib Kumar Sahoo (NUS, Singapore), Technical Program Chair remarked that the numbers of papers of research articles to be presented during the conference is 64.

Prof. Frede Blaabjerg, Professor, Alborg University, Denmark, President (2019-20), IEEE Power Electronics Society addressed the gathering about the Key Technology for Renewable Energy Integration.

Prof. Mahinda Vilathgamuwa, Professor, Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia talked on sustainability of renewable energy technologies systems.

Prof. P.K. Dash, Former Professor, NIT Rourkela argued on multidisciplinary research in energy field. He said that  Sustainable Energy has become a watchword throughout the world. In India it is being regarded as an Important Sector and has laid to the development of Smart Grid. It is also used to make conventional grid smarter, reliable and customer friendly. Ultimately the sustainable energy will be the only source of energy in the Indian context.

Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU addressed the gathering on sustainability of renewable energy technologies systems. He said that we need to spread out multidisciplinary research and  KIIT DU has been the pioneer in promoting such research works.

Eventually, Vote of Thanks was proposed by Prof. C.K. Panigrahi, (Organizing Chair) and Dean, KIIT School of Electrical Engineering.
