KIIT School of Public Health Organizes Orientation Programme for Ph.D Students

The School of Public Health, KIIT Deemed to be University organized an orientation programme for Ph.D students enrolled in the academic session 2020 – 21 on 25th February 2021. Congratulating the scholars, Prof. Sudhir Kumar Satpathy, Director, KSPH emphasized the need for high quality research work which gives a distinct profile to KIIT among its peers. He stated that KIIT-DU has achieved many accolades and awards in a very short period of time. While pursuing their research journey, they must keep societal needs in mind towards improving the quality of life and population health, he suggested.

Speaking at the programme, Prof. Manas Ranjan Behera, Program Head, PhD welcomed the students and briefed them about the rules, regulations and guidelines of the programme.  He stated that KIIT extended all necessary support to scholars and follows a student-friendly approach in all academic processes. Students must utilize various facilities offered by the university and reap benefits towards successful completion of their PhD programme, he added. 

The programme started with a self-introduction by the newly joined Ph.D scholars and faculty members. It ended with brief discussion by the scholars followed by an open house discussion.
