The Youth Red Cross (YRC) volunteers of KIIT-DU and KIIT-ITI organized a vibrant rally along with a Nukkad Natak at different campuses of KIIT University on 1st November 2025, with over 100 volunteers coming together to raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco consumption and to advocate for a healthier, tobacco-free nation.
Carrying creative and impactful placards with heartfelt slogans, the volunteers inspired students, staff, and the local community to make mindful choices for their health and mental well-being. The rally reflected the collective spirit of youth capturing the enthusiasm and dedication for a tobacco free and healthier nation.
The key objectives of the rally were to educate people on the hazards of tobacco use, encourage healthy living habits, spread awareness about disease prevention and motivate the citizens to take a pledge to build a tobacco-free future.
This event aimed to create a ripple of positive change promoting wellness, awareness and a sense of social responsibility among all.
The initiative was successfully organized under the guidance of YRC KIIT-DU Counsellors Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Dr. Junali Jasmine Jena, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, and Dr. Ajit Kumar Pasayat along with YRC-KIIT-ITI counsellors Mr. Biswaranjan Jena and Mrs. Sushrita rath .
