YRC KIIT volunteers actively participated in the Vigilance Workshop held on 29th October 2025, where Mrs. Banita Maharana, Inspector of Police, Crime Branch, Bhubaneswar, was invited as the chief speaker. She emphasized the importance of being vigilant in society to prevent and discourage corruption. She also highlighted that vigilance begins with oneself—by taking care of one’s own mental and physical well-being—before extending that responsibility toward family, friends, and ultimately, the wider community.
She further stressed that vigilance is a shared responsibility, encouraging participants to engage with others empathetically rather than sympathetically. Addressing issues of gender discrimination, she explained the concepts of equality and equity. She also urged everyone to remain vigilant in three key areas: a clear vision, adherence to proper procedures, and the mindful use of technology—ensuring we control it rather than being controlled by it.
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of YRC KIIT counsellors: Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Dr. Junali Jasmine Jena, Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, and Dr. Ajit Kumar Pasayat.
