Dr. Rajendra Sahoo, Consultant Pain Specialist, KIMS was invited as a Faculty to the recently held “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound” workshop at Railway Hospital, Kolkata. Dr. Sahoo delivered a lecture on “Role of Ultrasound in Musculoskeletal Pain”. In addition to that, he performed “Live interventional procedures under Ultrasound guidance” from OT which was transmitted to the 40-odd participants in the auditorium. Dr. Sahoo performed Stellate ganglion block, Cervical nerve root block, Sacroiliac joint procedure, Knee Joint PRP, Carpal Tunnel Hydrodissection, and Shoulder Rotator cuff PRP- all under ultrasound to the delight of the participating doctors.
On the second day, Dr. Sahoo demonstrated Cervical spine and head, neck blocks under ultrasound as a volunteer. Doctors from Dhaka, Hyderabad, Vellore, Gujarat, Chennai, Bangalore and WB attended the two-day academic extravaganza. The participants appreciated the efforts and teaching of Dr. R. Sahoo.
