The second advanced trauma care CME-cum-workshop, based on theme “Upgrading skill and improving outcome’’ in trauma patients was conducted at KAABEEL Simulation Centre of Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), a constituent of KIIT Deemed-to-be-University, by Department of Critical Care Medicine.
The two-day-long CME-cum-workshop on May 13 and 14 was attended by 100 delegates from diverse specialities such as anesthesiology, surgery, orthopedics and emergency medicine. The programme was inaugurated by KIMS Principal Prof. Ambika Prasad Mohanty , Medical Superitendent Prof .Ramachandra Das , HoD Critical Care Medicine Dr. Sujit Pradhan and Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Ajay Bahl, Director Emergency Services Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi. One of the highlights of the workshop was to give real-life case scenarios to delegates for hands on practice. This programme aimed to enhance skill of health care personnel in Odisha to provide state-of-art trauma care facilities and save more lives. Dr. Devi Prasad Dash was the course director and Dr Sansay Mohapatra was the workshop coordinator for this programme.
