“Dialysis facilities will be provided to chronic patients suffering from kidney related diseases at free of cost in every district head quarters hospitals in Odisha,” said, Pratap Kumar Jena, Minister, Health & Family Welfare and Information and Public Relations.
Inaugurating South Asian Conference on Nephrology at KIIT Convention Centre on 10th March, 2018, he said that the State Government has decided to provide free dialysis facilities to (Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients in head quarter hospitals located in every districts. In this regard, the government has already started work in 15 district head quarter hospitals. The main cause of kidney disease is non communicable disease like high blood pressure and diabetes. So the Government has started NCD programme in 15 districts for screening of NCD patients. These patients will be provided treatment and medicines at free of cost.

We should take care of our environment. We should not destroy our natural environment in the name of development,” he added. Dr. S. C.
