The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences(KISS), in partnership with British Council, India is going to host ‘Commonwealth Big Lunch‘ on 23rd March 2018. A total of 30000 indigenous students and staff of KISS along with Commonwealth High Commissioners, Representatives from High Commissions of 53 Commonwealth Countries and delegates from British Council will assemble at the event.
Commonwealth Big Lunches are part of the official celebrations of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting(CHOGM), which will be held in London in April, 2018. This coincides with 70 years of British Council in India. While, Commonwealth Big Lunch is being organized in six places in the world, KISS is the only organisation from Asia which has been selected by the British Council to host the Commonwealth Big Launch. Obviously, it will be one of the historic events for KISS for all times to come.
