The 5th edition of annual techno-cultural fest of KIIT Deemed to be University ‘KIIT Fest’ kicks off amidst much fanfare and splendor from 15 February 2019. This three day Mega Event is one of the largest tech and cultural fest in Eastern part of India.
Sunit Tondon, Director, Indian Habitat Centre; Anup Kumar Das, Head, Resource Management, Ericsson, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, and Prof. Hrusikesh Mohanty, VC, KIIT Deemed to be University were present in the inaugural session.
The annual techno-cultural fest of KIIT has enticed a crowd of more than 25,000 students including more than 5000 students from various reputed technical institutes and universities of the country.
During this 3 day Techno-fest students will take part in 100 different events in various technical, cultural and innovative competitions. During the inaugural session, ‘KIIT Fest’ Mobile App was launched while annual magazine of KIIT Fest Kritika, Magazine of Civil Engineering Department- Nirminite, Magazine of Computer Science Department Kibibyte, Magazine of Electronics Department Kuriosity, Magazine of Mechanical Engineering Department- Yantra NXT were released by the guest.
On 16th February Live show (Star Night) by Bollywood singer Armaan Malik will be the attraction, while on 17th February the DJ Night by Prayag Mehta (LOST STORIES) and Prakash Iyre, Motivational speaker will join the fest. Much fun and excitement awaits this fest which has become bigger with each passing year.
During the fest the School of Mechanical Engineering is organizing various competitions in Yantriki, the School of Electrical Engineering is organizing Electrifyn, while School of Electronics Engineering organizing Vidnan, School of Computer Applications organizing Mirabilia, School of Computer Sciences- Luminaire, School of Biotechnology- Kinesis and School of Civil Engineering organizing various competitions in the name of Nirminte. The total prize money for various competitions is ₹50 lakhs, which is highest amount for any University technical Festival in India.
