The School of Civil Engineering, KIIT-DU successfully hosted the 4th International Conference on “Recent Developments in Sustainable Infrastructure: Transforming Challenges into Opportunities” on March 20–22, 2025, in hybrid mode. The conference served as a dynamic forum for addressing emerging challenges, transformations, and responsibilities in sustainable infrastructure through research paper presentations, panel discussions, and expert talks.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by chief guest, Er. P. C. Mohapatra; and guest of honor, Prof. Deepak Khare, Dean of Finance & Planning, BIS Chair Professor, and Professor (HAG) at IIT Roorkee. The valedictory ceremony featured chief guest Er. Ashok BASA, Executive Vice President of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), Paris, alongside Prof. A. K. Rath, former Senior Scientist at ISRO and founding Chairman of ICRDSI. They commended the innovative research presented and underscored the importance of sustained collaboration in addressing global challenges.
The event featured nine keynote lectures by distinguished national, international, and industry experts, along with an industry panel discussion that provided valuable insights and fostered collaborative initiatives. Additionally, the conference showcased over 100 research paper presentations (both online and offline), including 20 poster presentations. The compiled abstract proceedings were also launched on the occasion.
Special appreciation was conveyed to the Conference Chair, Dr. Dillip Bera, Dean of SCE; along with Co-Chairs, Dr. Aparupa Pani, Associate Dean (Research); Dr. Satyajeet Nanda, Dr. Madhu Lisha Pattanaik and organizing secretaries Dr. Kshyana Prava Samal, Associate Dean (Academics), Dr. Dipti Ranjan Biswal, Dr. P.
