‘KIDS Webcon Chapter-2’ Concludes

‘KIDS Webcon Chapter-2’, an exclusive online International Dental Conference, concluded on 30th October 2020.  The three-day conference, one of the first online International Dental Conferences in India, was organized by Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), KIIT Deemed to be University in association with University of Genoa from 28th to 30th October 2020.  It was a unique online dental conference where eminent speakers from University of Genoa, Italy enlightened the knowledge of the registered participants, without charging their regular guest lecture fees.

As many as 19 eminent guest speakers, who are the esteemed Presidents of all the 9 Specialties of Dental Sciences in India, along with 10 other eminent guest speakers from the different specialties of Dental Sciences delivered lectures at the conference. More than 900 delegates from across the country registered for the conference, while 3000 participants joined the conference from facebook live and zoom meet applications. Over 480 scientific papers and posters were presented by different researchers at an online portal during the three-day conference which was well appreciated by different scientific chair persons.  

Speaking at the meet, Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Admin.), KIDS, & Chief Conference Coordinator informed everyone about the great vision of Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and his noble ideology of the ‘Art of Giving’. Dr. Balaji Manohar, Principal, KIDS welcomed delegates. Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Chief Scientific Coordinator delivered the vote of thanks. 

Dr. Pathi along with the Team of KIDS congratulated each and every participant for their continuous enthusiasm and dedication during the entire online conference. Dr. Pathi also sent digital conference materials, which included conference abstract book, information video on KIIT & KISS, profile of the Founder and KIIT Review, to all the 900 participants of the conference. He invited the speakers and delegates to visit KIIT once the Covid–19 pandemic subsides.
