Youth Red Cross (YRC), KIIT Unit observed Christmas in a novel way – through a webinar on Awareness on Blood Donation. Speaking at the webinar, Dr. Chandrika P. Das, Director, Central Red Cross Blood Centre, Cuttack explained all the facts and figures relating to voluntary blood donation. His talk followed a Q&A session with the participants. He motivated the youth to donate blood to save lives and to continue the same.
Earlier, Dr. Tanmoy Roy Choudhury, Counsellor, YRC – KIIT welcomed all the guests, participants, and volunteers. He reiterated the motivation and appropriateness of the day to be selected for such a noble cause. Among other speakers, Dr. Ajay Kr. Tripathy, YRCO, IRCS – OSB, Mr. Gopal Krushna Mishra, State Coordinator, IRCS – OSB and Dr. Samaresh Mishra, Director, Student Affairs appreciated the efforts of YRC – KIIT in bringing up such awareness programs. The student volunteers showcased the efforts and activities of YRC – KIIT through a presentation to the audience which was largely recognized.
Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Counsellor, YRC – KIIT proposed the vote of thanks. Student volunteers actively managed the whole event where more than 100 participants from KIIT and outside joined.
