Hostel Premier League 2020 (Inter Hostel Badminton Tournament) was organized by KIIT Hostel from 1st February to 6th February, 2020 at Indoor Sports Complex, Campus 12. In this tournament, a total of 14 teams participated from various Boys’ Hostel. The opening ceremony was held on 1st February which was graced by Mr. Deepak Kumar Mohanty, Asst. Registrar (Hostel), Mr. T.K Pati, Administrative Officer (KP-5/5A) and hostel staff. Student players were encouraged and the tournament started off well. The tournament was successfully conducted in a disciplined manner through league matches.
The Final match was held on 6th February, 2020 between King’s Palace-7DEF v/s Kings Palace-9 amidst strong will, unity and above all the team spirit of players. The Champion was Kings’ Palace-9, whereas the Runner’s Up was Kings’ Palace-7DEF.
Dr. B. Sahoo, Director (Student Affairs), KIIT-DU; Mr. S.K Rath, Deputy Registrar (Hostel) KIIT-DU; Mr. Deepak Kumar Mohanty, Asst. Registrar (Hostel), KIIT-DU; Mr. T.K Pati, Administrative Officer (KP-5/5A), KIIT-DU; Executives, Superintendent & Dy. Superintendent along with hostel staff members greeted all the players of both teams who had made it to the final and encouraged them.
Dr. B. Sahoo, Director (S.A), KIIT-DU felicitated the Champion Team with a cash prize along with a Winner Cup and also felicitated Runners-Up Team with a cash prize along with Runners-Up Cup. Mr. S.K. Rath Dy. Registrar (Hostel) felicitated the Champion and the Runners-Up Teams with mementos and certificates.
All the players of the other teams were also given “Certificates of Participation”. Under the guidance of Dr. B. Sahoo, Director (S.A); Mr. S.K Rath, Dy. Registrar (Hostel) and hostel staff members, the Inter-hostel Badminton Tournament was well organized and conducted successfully. All student players were happy and satisfied.
