Noted Educationist and Social worker, Prof. Achyuta Samanta addressed the parliamentarians at House of Lords.
Prof. Samanta was invited for a discourse attended by Members of Parliament and special invitees of Indian Origin. The programme was held on 22 May 2018 at the Atlee Room, House ot Lords. Baroness Prashar, CBE,PC , Crossbench member of House of Lords hosted the reception for Prof. Samanta and other invitees. His Excellency Dinesh Patnaik, Deputy High Commissioner of India to the UK and Dr Aman Puri, Consul General, Birmingham also graced the occasion. Mr. Alan Gemmell OBE also spoke on the occasion about celebrating British Council’s 70 years in India.
The Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Founder of KIIT and KISS, and recounted his past and his experience at creating a revolution through KIIT and KISS. He gave a talk on poverty eradication through quality education and connected it with Sustainable Development Goals of 2030.
