KIMS Pain Specialist Dr. Rajendra Sahoo has been conferred with the “Lokapur Foundation Research Award” at the recently held 38th Annual National Conference of Indian Pain Society at Pune.
He also received “Best Paper Award” for his research and presentation among the faculty category. Dr. Sahoo was invited as a “Faculty” at the conference.
During the conference, Dr. Sahoo presented 2 lectures on “Ultrasound guided Hip procedure” as well as “Ultrasound guided Piriformis & Pudendal Block” and moderated a session on “Suggestions and improvement of Pain curriculum of Indian Academy of Pain Medicine”.
On the final day of the national conference, Dr. Sahoo performed 4 LIVE procedures from the OT of Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital which was relayed to the auditorium. These procedures include a) Knee joint mesenchymal stem cell injection, b) Achilles Tendon Growth factor therapy c) Shoulder Supraspinatus platelet-rich plasma, Lumbar Facet radiofrequency ablation and caudal epidural.
