Students of KIIT School of Film and Media Sciences (KSFMS) have achieved big at the Flo Dhwani Film Festival organised by FICCI FLO and associates in Bhubaneswar. All entries from KSFMS bagged prizes at the Awards Night on 22nd March 2023, proving their high quality. The Flo Dhwani Film Festival is a prestigious annual film festival organized for the last 11 years on different social goals with “Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion” as its motto.
KSFMS student Sri Devpratim Saikia won the Second Prize with cash award of Rs. 30,000 for his film “Hear Me Not” in the 30 mins category. Md. Shakhawyat Hossen, an international student from Bangladesh and his team, received a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 as the Third Prize for their film “Ability” in the 5 mins category. Last but the most exciting entry “A Beacon of Light” by Sri Madhav Jha, a Nepalese student, was adjudged the best film by the jury with unanimous decision in the highly competitive one minute category. He also received a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 as Jury Prize.
The achievements of students attest the quality of students along with the quality pedagogy at KSFMS as a frontline film institute in the country. As the social shoutout is getting louder, students and faculties are elated and excited with congratulatory messages from one and all.
