Dr. Anita Pati, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, School of Applied Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University, has been elected as the Secretary of the Orissa Chemical Society (OCS). Her achievement as the first woman Secretary of this prestigious apex body of chemists in the state marks a historic milestone and stands as a testament to her academic leadership and professional excellence.
The Orissa Chemical Society (OCS) was conceptualized in 1985 in the School of Chemistry, Sambalpur University, with Late Professor Mahendra Kumar Rout as its Founder President. Since its inception, the Society has grown steadily with a strong and diverse membership. Guided by its founding principle of giving equal emphasis to quality teaching and cutting-edge research in chemical sciences, the OCS has attracted members from across the state, the country, and overseas.
