IIS Deemed to be University, Jaipur conferred Honoris Causa D.Litt. degree upon Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS at its 8th Convocation on 20th December, 2019. The University honoured him for his relentless contribution to social service and education with human values. Chief Guest Padma Bhushan Justice Dalveer Bhandari, Judge, The International Court of Justice, The Hague presented the degree to Dr. Samanta in the presence of Justice S. N. Bhargava, Chancellor, IIS Deemed to be University.
This is the 41st Honorary Degree to Dr. Samanta from national and international universities. Expressing gratitude to the University, Dr. Samanta said, “I will continue my work for the society with commitment and determination to strive to create a level playing field for the marginalized children of the world.
