PGTs of KIDS shine at the 40th Annual IDA Odisha State Conference

Three Post Graduate Students from the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) secured the best scientific paper presentation awards at the 40th Annual IDA Odisha State Conference held from 13th – 15th December, 2024.

Dr. Nagma Naz Haque talked on the topic: “Beyond the Drill – Plasma’s Role in the Next Era of Dentistry”. Dr. Haque’s presentation explored the innovative use of plasma technology in modern dental practices, highlighting its potential to revolutionize patient care.

Dr. Spandita Das delivered his talk on the topic Interactive Smiles: The Role of Digital Gamification in Promoting Oral Hygiene in Children and Adolescents. Dr. Das impressed the audience with her insights on how digital gamification can effectively engage young patients in maintaining oral hygiene, thereby promoting long-term dental health.

Dr. Rohini Parui placed her deliberation on the theme, “The Mouth Says What the Mind Thinks”. Dr. Parui’s thought-provoking presentation delved into the psychological aspects of oral health, emphasizing the connection between mental well-being and oral hygiene.

These outstanding accomplishments underscore the dedication and expertise of KIDS PGTs in advancing the field of dentistry. Their innovative research and presentations not only garnered prestigious recognition but also contributed significantly to the dental community’s knowledge base.
