Ceremony Organised by C V Raman Foundation in Collaboration with KIIT DU

The National Science Day–cum–C V Raman Award Ceremony was organised by the C V Raman Foundation, Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with KIIT DU, and was held at KIIT Deemed to be University.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Biswajit Pradhan, General Secretary,  the C V Raman Foundation, felicitated all the distinguished dignitaries. Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT DU, presided over the ceremony. Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT DU, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and emphasised the importance of science in driving innovation and societal progress.

Dr. Debendra Prasad Majhi, President of the C V Raman Foundation, delivered the welcome address, while Prof. Satyaban Jena, Chairman of the Award Selection Board, briefed the audience about the different categories of awards for students and teachers from various institutions.

Prof. Ashok Das, former Distinguished Scientist from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), was awarded the Bigyan Ratna Award in Physical Sciences. Prof. Tushar Subhadarsan Mishra of AIIMS Bhubaneswar received the Bigyan Pradeep Award in the field of Medical Sciences.

The Young Scientist Award was conferred on Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Panda, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Warangal. Arabinda Sahoo, a student of AIIMS Kalyani, was awarded the C V Raman Chhatra Prativa Samman for the year 2026. Rashmi Ranjan Pradhan, Deputy Director of Sports and Yogic Science, was honoured as the Best Trainer in Yoga.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Bijay Das, Advisor, C V Raman Foundation. The event was coordinated by Dr. Amlana Panda, Assistant Registrar (RDI), KIIT DU.
