KISS Faculty Receives the Prestigious Basanta Biswal Award

Ms. Manasi Chandra Nayak, Faculty in Home Science and the leader of Rangers Wing at the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University received the prestigious Basanta Biswal Award on 7th July 2024 for her unwavering dedication, leadership and commitment to the Scout and Guide Movement. This prestigious honour reflects the tireless efforts put into guiding and mentoring youth, instilling in them the values of discipline, teamwork, and community service. It highlights the exceptional role played by her in fostering youth development, preparing them to become responsible citizens and future leaders. This award is an inspiration for others to contribute to the growth of future generations through scouting and guiding, emphasizing the importance of service, resilience, and moral leadership.

The Basanta Biswal Award is dedicated and named after Basanta Biswal, a notable leader in the Scout and Guide movement and the 3rd Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha (15 March 1995 – 17 February 1999). This award acknowledges individuals who have demonstrated exemplary commitment to fostering the values of discipline, teamwork, and community service within the Scout and Guide community. The Management of KISS-DU congratulated her for her achievement.
