KIIT Polytechnic Faculty Conferred with NESA Distinguished Scientist Award

Dr. Sanjukta Sahoo, Faculty of Civil Engineering, KIIT Polytechnic received the Distinguished Scientist Award for outstanding contributions in the field of Concrete and Carbon Dioxide absorption towards mitigating climate change challenges at National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi. Her research in developing salt resistant concrete for coastal regions, thermal resistant bricks for high altitude construction and CO2 absorption media also received commendations from the award committee members.

She was presented the award at the national conference on Recent Trends and Challenges in Green Chemistry, Pollution Control and Climate Change organized at CSIR-NBRI Lucknow. In the conference, Dr. Sahoo delivered a keynote lecture to appraise the audience on recent developments in insulation, design and energy solutions to improve energy efficiency of buildings. The talk received wide appreciation and invited fruitful interaction from an audience consisting of active researchers and scholars.
