KiiT-IS Students Shine In ISRO Centenary Celebrations

Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) celebrated the Birth Centenary of Father of Indian Space Research, Dr. Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai by conducting Inter-School Competitions at  Bhubaneswar.

Hundreds of schools from the city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack participated in the competitions like Written Quiz, Essay Writing, Elocution, Science Exhibition, as well as Drawing and Painting on subjects related to Space and Science.

In the written quiz (Senior Category), B. Ankit Patro and Swadhin Rout of IBDP Grade 11 won the 1st Prize. In the Science Exhibition, Aniket Biswal and Pratik Mishra of Grade 12 (Science) won the 3rd Prize.

Rishabh Suar – Grade 7 (CBSE) won the 2nd prize in essay writing. Arpita Rout of Grade 11 (Commerce) won the 3rd Prize in English elocution in the Senior Category. In the drawing and painting competition, Swastika Mishra of Grade 4 and Maitreyi Dutta of Grade 5 won the 1st and 2nd prize respectively.

The students received their awards from Dr. S. Pandian, Former Director SHAR ISRO; Dr. V.Ranganathan, Deputy Director, SHAR ISRO and Dr. S. Kamila, Chief Postmaster General, Odisha. 

The students were trained by teachers of TEAM INSPIRON and supported by their academic coordinators. Chairperson of KiiT International School, Dr. Mona Lisa Bal and Principal, Dr. Sanjay Suar congratulated the students and encouraged the teachers for their efforts and wished them success for the future.
