KIDS Faculty Conferred with “Versatile Dentist of the Year 2021” Award

Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Associate Professor, Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS), KIIT Deemed to be University was conferred with “Versatile Dentist of the Year 2021” award by Asia Pacific Dental Excellence Award, Mumbai and Award for “Outstanding Contributions in Periodontology” by Indian Professional Awards 2022.

These awards were conferred upon Dr. Singh in recognition of his recently published research articles as well as his outstanding contributions towards organizing scientific and social events during COVID – 19 pandemic.

Dr. Singh, under the leadership of Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, organized four chapters of KIDS – WEBCON as Scientific chairman, which was one of the first International Dental Conferences on virtual mode in India, in association with the University of Genoa. He also organized IMPALA-INTEGRATE 2021 & 2022, international Dental Implantology conferences, in association with University of Toronto and University of Genova, where more than 5000 delegates benefited during the ongoing pandemic.

Dr. Singh, being the NSS Programme Officer of KIDS, organized more than 25 social events for making people from Odisha aware about COVID -19 safety protocols as well as the importance of maintaining oral hygiene for healthy life. For this initiative, he has received “University level Best NSS Programme Officer Award 2021” by Dr. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU.  

Dr. Singh has published 47 scientific articles and 7 text books of his subject, Periodontics & Oral Implantology. He is credited with more than 85,000 studies of his published articles on Research Gate as well as h-index 8 and i10 – index respectively along with 223 citations on Google Scholar. Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Administration), Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar, Principal, KIDS along with other faculty members and students, KIDS congratulated Dr. Singh for his commendable achievements and wished him best for all of his future endeavours.
