Faculty, students of Dermatology Dept shine at CUTICON-2022

Faculty members and students of Dermatology Department of the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences achieved a great success during the 41st Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprosy (IADVL), Odisha Chapter.

The event, popularly called CUTICON-2022 was held at Railway Auditorium, Chandrasekharpur in the Temple City on December 3 and 4. Around 200 delegates from across the country participated in various scientific sessions and discussed recent advances in the subject.

While the prestigious Professor Harish Mohanty Oration Award was conferred on Prof. Dr. HemantaKumar Kar, HoD of Dermatology, KIMS for the year 2022, first prize in Paper Presentation by post-graduate students went to Dr. Raveena K (Final Year Resident) of KIMS Bhubaneswar.

Under the Guest Lecture Series during the CUTICON-2022 Assistant Professor Dr. Laxman Besra of theDepartment spoke on “Novel use of moisturizer in atopic dermatitis’’. Similarly, several e-posters werepresented by KIMS Dermatology PG students – Dr. Raveena K (Final Year Resident), Dr. Kriti (SecondYear Resident), Dr. Riya (Second Year Resident), Dr. Garima (Second Year Resident) and Dr. Sejal (SecondYear Resident).
