East Zone Inter University Handball (Men) Championship Inaugurated at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar
The East Zone Inter University Handball (Men) 2024-25 Championship is being organized with great enthusiasm and competitive spirit at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), from the 16th to the 18th of March, 2025.
The grand inauguration ceremony took place at the prestigious Biju Patnaik International Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, located in Campus 13 of KIIT University. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS, and Shri Birendra Kumar Behera, Secretary of the Odisha State Handball Association. Their inspiring words and support added vigor to the event, motivating the participants to perform at their best.
A remarkable total of 30 universities participated in the tournament, with 450 participants, including players and officials, converging to showcase their talent and sportsmanship. The tournament not only served as a platform for athletic excellence but also fostered camaraderie and unity among the young athletes from diverse institutions.
