Achyuta Samanta conferred with CSI Lifetime Achievement Award

Computer Society of India (CSI) conferred Lifetime Achievement Award on Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS at its 53rd Annual Convention in Bhubaneswar on 18th January 2020. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay K Mishra, Judge, Odisha High Court conferred the prestigious award on behalf of CSI on Dr. Samanta at the valedictory session of the three-day Annual Convention.

Dr. Samanta was conferred with this award for his immense contribution towards education and social work and popularizing information technology among masses. This award is among the highest national-level awards of the Society, instituted in the year 1979, with an intention to honour distinguished personalities who have served the society with dedication, devotion and faith or those who have excelled in fields related to the society. The award recognizes Dr. Samanta’s contribution in making a difference to the society through education. He thanked CSI for conferring him this prestigious award. Earlier Dr. Samanta was also conferred with Honorary Fellowship Award in 2014.

Among others, Dr. Gulsan Rai, Cyber Security Adviser, PMO; Prof Mike Hinchy, President, IFIP; Prof. K. K. Agarwal, Chairman, National Board of Accreditation; Prof. R K Vyas, Chair, Conference Committee; Prof. P K Behera, Chair, Programme Committee; Er. N K Behera, Co-convener, CSI 2020 and Ankur B Patel, Coordinator, Industry Committee, CSI 2020 and many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
