Legal Awareness Camp for Women Held at Nalipada-Arjunapur Panchayat near Khordha

The Legal Services Clinic, KIIT Law School, organised a Legal Awareness Camp for Women at Nalipada-Arjunapur Panchayat, Khordha District, on 12th September 2026, with the objective of promoting legal literacy and awareness of women’s rights.

Women from the Panchayat and neighbouring villages participated in the camp. The discussions focused on constitutional and legal rights of women, protection against violence and harassment, legal safeguards, and access to justice. The programme also provided an interactive platform for participants to raise questions and seek clarification on legal and social issues.

Student volunteers of the Legal Services Clinic actively participated in the programme and engaged with members of the local community, facilitating discussions on various legal concerns and avenues for seeking assistance.

The camp was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Lokanath Mohapatra, Director, Legal Services; Mr. Shashank Nande and Dr. Pragnya Parimita Ray, Faculty Coordinators, Legal Services Clinic; and Ms. Amrita Bal, Assistant Legal Officer, KIIT Law School.

Shri Surjya Prasad Mohanty, Sarpanch, Nalipada-Arjunapur Panchayat, was present on the occasion and extended his valuable support to the initiative.

The programme reflects KIIT Law School’s continued commitment to promoting access to justice, legal awareness, and community empowerment at the grassroots level, while providing students with meaningful exposure to clinical legal education and community-oriented legal service.
