Dr. Queen Sarkar, Assistant Professor (II), English, KIIT School of Economics & Commerce, has been honoured with the prestigious 2026 Emerging Scholar Award at the 56th Annual Scholars’ Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches, hosted by the University of Texas at Dallas, USA. 

Notably, her participation in this prestigious international conference was funded, including conference registration, accommodation, and travel support extended by the University of Texas at Dallas, USA and the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies. At the conference, she presented her paper titled “The Algorithmic Witness: Defining the Ethical Perimeter of Synthetic Media in the Post-Survivor Archive.”

This globally reputed forum brings together leading scholars to engage in critical discussions on the Holocaust, memory, ethics, and contemporary media. Her recognition and funded participation highlight both individual academic excellence and KIIT’s growing international research presence.
