KIIT Students and Staff Participate in Ugadi and
Gudi Padwa Celebrations at Lok Bhavan
The celebrations of Ugadi and Gudi Padwa were held at Lok Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, on 19th March 2026. The event was presided over by Shri Hari Babu Kambhampati, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha.
As part of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative of the Government of India, around 25 students and staff members from KIIT Deemed to be University participated in the celebration, representing the states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. Two KIIT students, Miss Sravani P and Miss Anju Ajaykumar, performed a Kuchipudi dance.
The occasion highlighted the rich history, vibrant culture, and unique traditions of these states, reflecting the spirit of national integration and India’s unity in diversity. The event was coordinated by the Office of the Registrar, Hostel Administration, and KSAC.
