2100 KISS Students to Appear for Matric Examination This Year Highest in the Country
The Annual Matric Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha, is scheduled to commence from the 19th of this month. This year, a record 2,100 students from Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) will appear for the examination.
KISS has emerged as the only school in Odisha as well as in the entire country to send such a large number of students from a single institution to appear in the matric examination. Of the total candidates, 1,100 are girls and 1,000 are boys.
All the students will appear for the examination at four centres in Bhubaneswar: IRC Village Government High School, Unit–4 Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Niladri Vihar, Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Unit 8 and IRC Village SBG Vidya Mandir.
As has been the practice every year, the Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta on 15th February 2026 distributed pens to all the matric examinees and offered guidance on how to appear for the examination in a stress-free manner. On the occasion, he conveyed his best wishes to the students and wished them success.
Dr. Samanta said that due to the hard work and dedication of the students, along with the timely guidance of teachers, a large number of students are expected to secure first division this year.
Since its establishment, KISS has consistently achieved a 100 percent success rate in the matric examinations every year. To facilitate smooth transportation of students to and from the examination centres, KISS has arranged more than 80 buses.
