KIIT–KISS Represented at Russia–India Business Forum 2025 in Kazan

The Russia-India Business Forum was jointly organised by the Russian Government (represented by the provincial Tatarstan Government) and the Government of India (represented by the Embassy of India, Moscow) at Kazan, the historical, cultural and industrial capital of Tatarstan province from 8th – 9th October, 2025. The official Indian delegation was led by H.E. Shri Vinay Kumar, Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation. The Business Forum was followed by B2B meetings, Exhibitions, Panel Discussions, networking and an Indian Film Festival. Kazan hosted the last BRICS Summit in October 2024, which was attended by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. It is learnt that a Consulate General of India is going to be opened in Kazan in near future, to facilitate regional cooperation and development.Mr. Debraj Pradhan, Director General-International Relations represented KIIT/KISS Universities as one of the Speakers at the Panel Discussion on “Education & Science: Prospects for Cooperation” on 8th October 2025. The main objectives of the Panel Discussion were, inter alia, to discuss the transformation of engineering education, impact of technology on learning practices, academic mobility, and the formation of future human resources.

In his presentation, Mr. Debraj Pradhan highlighted the achievements made by KIIT-DU in ranking, academic excellence and global outreach. He mentioned about the diverse activities being undertaken by KISS-DU for indigenous children with focus on girl empowerment, implementation of UNSDGs, sports development, etc. He spoke about the vision, mission and humanitarian philosophy of the Founder of KIIT/KISS-DU Dr. Achyuta Samanta to make these world-class institutions.

Finally, he called on the academics, research scholars and institutions to enter into long term collaborations in fields such as student and faculty mobility, academic exchange, research, innovation, sports development, so on and so forth. He held individual meetings with university representatives and others on the sidelines of the Business Forum. Tremendous opportunities for future collaborations are being envisaged with Russian academics and institutions.
