On the occasion of World First Aid Day on 13th September 2025, YRC KIIT volunteers organized an awareness program on First Aid at KIIT University. The initiative aimed to raise global awareness about the importance of first aid and to empower students with basic yet crucial life-saving skills.
The program featured an insightful talk by Dr. Abhishek Kumar Gupta from KIMS Hospital. He shared valuable knowledge and equipped attendees with practical guidance on essential topics such as managing bleeding, dog bites, and burns, as well as how to assemble a first aid kit. The event was highly interactive, with a powerful video showcasing Red Cross officers in action, followed by an engaging Q&A session where students’ queries were addressed. The program culminated in a fun and challenging quiz, with prizes awarded to participants for their knowledge and active engagement.
Nearly 100 volunteers took part in the program. The event concluded with prize distribution to the most active participants. The entire program was coordinated under the guidance of the counselors—Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, Dr. Ajit Kumar Pasayat, Dr. Junali Jasmine Jena, and Dr. Chitralekha Jena.
