KINS Faculty Attends Neuro-Trauma Nursing Goa Conference 2025
Neurotrauma Society of India (NTSI) organized a 3 days conference-cum-workshop from 8th August to 10th August, 2025 co-organized by Goa Association of Neurological Surgeons (GANS), Goa Medical College& Hospital (GMCH)& Society of Indian Neuro Nurses (SINN) at Novotel Goa, Dona Sylvia Beach Resort Cavelossim & Goa Medical College Bambolim. More than 350 Neurosurgeons, 150 Guest Speakers, 500 Delegates from institutes of national importance assembled for this academic feast at 3 venues with parallel 70 plus scientific sessions & 80 deliberations on Head Injury, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), CVA, Seizure, SOL & ICP management.
From Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences, KIIT-DU, Mr. Chandan Pradhan, Asso. Prof. MSN Department, participated as an invited faculty speaker & skill trainer for the Neurotrauma Nursing Symposium-cum-workshop, which was simultaneously organized by SINN & Institute of Nursing Education, Bambolim, Goa at GMCH auditorium attended by more than 500 faculties, PGs & Ph.D. (N) & delegates from Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad & Jammu. There were in total 17 deliberations, 8poster presentations &6 skill stations workshop on nursing aspects of Head Injury, SCI, CVA, Seizures & SOL organized on this day.
Mr. Chandan Pradhan spoke on the topic “Pearls & Pitfalls in Spinal Cord Injury Nursing Management” at the symposium as well as acted as a skill trainer at the “Care of EVD Shunting” station workshop. Registrar Goa Nursing Council Ms. Flosy Rodriguese Menezes-cum-HOD MSN Dept. Institute of Nursing Education, GMCH along with the Dean of GMCH felicitated Mr. Chandan for his captivating talk and outstanding contribution at the workshop. He also participated as a delegate at the Doctors Neurotrauma Conference, Cadaveric workshop and Scientific Paper presentation to gain insights on the latest innovative evidenced based practices in the Neurotrauma field at the Dona Sylvia Beach Resort, Cavelossim Goa. His experience from this Neurotrauma Conference would help our nursing students learn about the Neurotrauma associated nursing management and apply the skills into practice.
