KIIT Official Honoured with CII IWN Shakti Samman 2025

Ms. Gipsita Nayak, Dy. Director, KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC) has been conferred with the prestigious CII IWN Shakti Samman 2025 for her outstanding contribution to Academics & Research in the field of fashion and styling. The award was presented by the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Smt. Pravati Parida, at a ceremony held on 11 July 2025 in Bhubaneswar.

The CII IWN Shakti Samman is a flagship initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Indian Women Network (IWN), which was established in 2013 to foster leadership, professional growth, and empowerment among women. The awards honour exceptional women achievers from across India in diverse fields such as academia, entrepreneurship, media, health, sports, and leadership, celebrating their excellence, influence, and contribution to society.

Ms. Nayak has earned recognition for her dynamic leadership and global influence in the fashion industry. With a distinguished career spanning India and the United States — including key professional experience in New York’s fashion scene — she has brought valuable international perspective to her work. Since 2022, she has contributed significantly to the growth, innovation, and academic direction of KIIT School of Fashion Technology, where she served as Dy. Director.

In her statement, Ms. Nayak expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS & KIMS, for his inspiring leadership and unwavering encouragement. She dedicated the award to the entire team of the KIIT School of Fashion Technology, acknowledging their relentless support and commitment.
