KIIT University Women’s Hockey Team Secures Historic Victory, Qualifies for Khelo India University Games.

The All India Inter University Hockey Women’s Championship 2024-25, organized under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, is being hosted by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, from 21st to 26th February 2025.

In this prestigious championship, two universities from Odisha—KIIT University and Sambalpur University—qualified to participate. In a remarkable display of talent, determination, and teamwork, the KIIT University Women’s Hockey Team achieved a historic victory today, defeating Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, with a score of 2-1. This outstanding win has propelled the team into the quarterfinals, making KIIT the only university from Odisha to secure a place in the quarterfinals. This victory marks the first time KIIT University has qualified for the prestigious Khelo India University Games, a significant milestone in the university’s sporting journey.

The victory stands as a testament to the team’s relentless hard work, exceptional skill, and unwavering determination.
