Invited Lecture by IIT Professor at KIIT’s Mathematics Colloquium

Dr. Debajyoti Choudhuri, Professor, School of Basic Sciences, IIT Bhubaneswar delivered a lecture titled “Analysis of solution to Poisson equation, with/without a singularity” at the Mathematics Colloquium organized by the Department of Mathematics, School of Applied Sciences, KIIT-DU on 26th July 2024. Dr. Mrutyunjay Das, Associate Dean of the Department of Mathematics, KIIT-DU introduced the purpose of conducting the event. Dr. Abhijit Sutradhar set out an introduction about the Department of Mathematics, School of Applied Sciences as well as KIIT-DU to the speaker. He also introduced the speaker to the audience comprising of faculties, research scholars, and M.Sc. students. The talk by the speaker Dr. Choudhuri was self-explanatory and gratifying on the analytical solution of the poisson equation, which is the backbone of fluid/solid/celestial mechanics. The event concluded by a vote of thanks from Dr. Sourav Shil.
