KIMS PG Student Wins First Prize at IPHACON

Second year PG student from Department of Community Medicine, Kalinga Institute of medical Sciences (KIMS) Bhubaneswar, Dr. Asutosh Pradhan, bagged the first prize in oral presentation competition in the Miscellaneous category at the 67th National Annual Conference of Indian Public Health Association (IPHACON 2023), which was held in Kolkata during 7th-9thApril 2023.

Dr. Pradhan’s study titled “Assessment of commuters’ safety in high density construction and traffic areas of two Smart Cities of Odisha, a mixed method cross sectional study to ensure eco-mobility’’ was guided by Prof. (Dr.) Sonali Kar. The presentation was well appreciated by delegates and judges who attended the national conference.

Along with him, three more PG students from the Department of Community Medicine also presented their posters in the conference, and their studies were well appreciated.
