KIMS Doctor Elected Member of the Prestigious National Academy of Medical Sciences

Dr. Sakir Ahmed, Associate Professor of Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology, KIMS, Bhubaneswar has been elected as a member of the prestigious National Academy of Medical Sciences (India) this year in recognition of his significant contribution to the advancement of medical sciences.

Dr Ahmed has published more than 70 manuscripts in indexed peer-reviewed journals since joining KIMS 4 years ago. He has been cited over a thousand times and has an h-index of 16 (Research Gate).

NAMS, is a nodal agency under the Government of India, which acts as an advisory body to the Government in matters related to National Health Policy and Planning and as a promoting agency for continuing medical education (CME) for medical and health professionals.

Dr Ahmed has expressed his thanks to the Founder of KIIT and KIMS and the KIIT family for providing the base and the support in building a promising career.
